Lev Ins AD Insurance Company Joins the Initiative to Help Traffic Accident Victims

The Bulgarian Red Cross, ZK Lev Ins AD, the Traffic Police Service with the Capital City Directorate of the Ministry of Interior, and the Chief Directorate of Fire Safety and Public Protection joined forces to organize a rescue demonstration as part of the Active Care Project funded by ZK Lev Ins AD and Active Care Insurance. The event will feature demonstration of first aid and rapid medical response by helicopter and ground-based transport.
The demonstration is scheduled to take place on November 20, at 10.30 AM on the Green Zone parking facility opposite the Kempinski Hotel Zografski.
The objective is to show the operational readiness of the medical rapid response teams in traffic-related accidents. The mock-rescue operations will be performed using aerial and road vehicles (a helicopter, motorcycles, ambulances, and a taxi cab). The Chief Directorate of Fire Safety and Public Protection will provide operational support with crews and fire engines.
Parallel to the event, at the Bulgarian Red Cross Building there will be a blood drive in support of traffic accident victims.
The demonstration will be attended by foreign ambassadors, state officials, members of non-government organizations, residents and guests of the city of Sofia.
The event is inspired by the World Day of Remembrance for Traffic Victims which this year falls on November 16. The week between November 16 and November 23 of 2014 will be dedicated to various initiatives aimed at prevention of traffic-accident-related injuries, and blood drives.
