80 Taxi Drivers to Receive Paramedic Training
The Bulgarian Red Cross will provide paramedic training to 80 taxi drivers as part of the Active Care Project which is being implemented by the Bulgarian Red Cross and the Active Security Club Association, project officials reported. The objective of the Project is to assist government efforts in the field of first aid and emergency medicine by providing first aid in line with the best European practices. The idea is that because of their training the taxi drivers will be able to administer first aid, report accidents to the emergency services and provide detailed information about the injured. In severe cases helicopters will be scrambled to the scene of the accident.
The organizers of the Project will demonstrate how all of this is going to work in real life on Sunday, July 8 at 11 o’clock at the parking lot opposite the Bulgarian Red Cross Building at 76 James Boucher Blvd. also known as the Green Zone Parking Facility at Kempinski Hotel Zografski.
